Victron SmartSolar MPPT 150/70-Tr Solar Charge Controller (UL 1741)

The Victron SmartSolar MPPT 150/70-Tr is a high-performance solar charge controller designed for marine, RV and off-grid power systems. Its ultra-fast Maximum Power Point Tracking technology continuously adjusts to changing sunlight conditions, helping your solar array produce as much usable charging energy as possible.

With a maximum PV open-circuit voltage of 150V and charging output of up to 70A, this controller supports 12V, 24V, 36V and 48V battery systems. The Tr version features secure screw-terminal PV connections and supports rated solar power of up to 4,000W when used with a 48V battery system.

Built-in Bluetooth allows convenient monitoring, configuration and firmware updates through the VictronConnect app. A VE.Direct port also allows connection to compatible Victron monitoring equipment, including GX devices for local monitoring and remote access through the Victron Remote Management portal and VRM app.

An optional plug-in display can be added for convenient on-device monitoring and configuration. With adaptive battery charging, intelligent solar tracking and comprehensive electronic protection, the SmartSolar MPPT 150/70-Tr provides efficient and dependable charging for larger solar systems.

Important compatibility note:

This model does not include VE.Can connectivity. For VE.Can system communication, use the SmartSolar MPPT 150/70-Tr VE.Can model.

Installation note:

The solar array’s maximum open-circuit voltage, including increases caused by cold temperatures, must remain below the controller’s 150V limit. Wiring, circuit protection and system settings must be correctly sized for the installation.
