Midpoint Voltage Monitoring

For battery banks connected in series, midpoint voltage monitoring helps detect battery imbalance before it becomes a costly problem. Early warnings can identify weak or failing batteries, helping extend battery bank life.

For maximum performance in series-connected lead-acid battery banks, Victron recommends pairing the BMV-712 with a Victron Battery Balancer.

Ultra-Low Power Consumption

The BMV-712 draws exceptionally little power, making it an excellent choice for lithium battery systems where preserving every amp-hour matters.

Current consumption:

• Approximately 1mA at 12V
• Approximately 0.8mA at 24V

Its extremely low standby power helps prevent unnecessary battery drain during storage.

Smart Protection Features
